Piaya or piyaya are Visayan unleavened flatbreads. The flatbread is popular in Bacolod, in Negros, where most of the sugar in the Philippines comes from. It’s one of the best Filipino snack ever.
Piyaya can also be seen in the busy streets of Manila. It is a sweet toasted flatbread. It has thin crust with a hidden muscovado filling or sometimes ube filling and toasted in a gridle.
